She Brings 27 Years of Experience to Pickleball For All

Carol CaeferHi.  My name is Carol Caefer.  I’m Jim’s wife and also co-founder and Assistant Director of Pickleball For All.

I started playing pickle ball in the fall of 2014.  I watched the passion that Jim had playing the game and thought to myself, “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.’   I don’t place as frequently as Jim, but I, too, love the sport.

Twenty-seven years of my working career I worked with the blind and visually impaired.    For seventeen of those years I was the Director of The Commission for the Blind Program in Massachusetts.   I managed a $1.3 million budget and I successfully encouraged and taught blind and deaf blind individuals to lead productive lives

Based on all those years of experience I see pickleball as an opportunity for all individuals: people with physical limitations, young, and old.  I think it’s a great sport for everybody to get involved in to lead a healthy lifestyle.

I have also worked with Jim on our sailboat doing charters in Boston Harbor.   That was fun!

I have a daughter, son, daughter-in-law and three granddaughters who are all getting involved in pickleball.

I encourage you to try pickleball.  I’m sure you will love it too and see the positive benefits of the game.
